Colin Kaepernick is set to have a throwing session during halftime of the Michigan Wolverines’ spring game. These three teams should be paying attention.
The 2022 NFL offseason has been the wildest we have ever seen in quite some time, and it has plenty to do with the amount of quarterback movement around the league. While some teams have their quarterback rooms all situated, there are some that are in need of some reinforcements.
On Friday, it was revealed that Colin Kaepernick would be holding an exhibition throwing event during halftime of Michigan football’s spring game on Saturday. During the workout, Kaepernick will throw to draft-eligible players, and NFL personnel in attendance will be able to watch the event. This comes after being named the honorary captain of the Maize and Blue game.
If Kaepernick does impress at the workout, there is the possibility that a team could sign him. Even if no deal is reached, these three teams should be keeping a close eye on Kaepernick’s throwing session.

Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks were one of the teams linked to Kaepernick this offseason, specifically following social media posts featuring the quarterback throwing passes to wide receiver Tyler Lockett, who spoke highly of him. Kaepernick did say that he hoped the door would be open to signing with the Seahawks.
However, head coach Pete Carroll said that talks with Kaepernick “had not progressed.”
Even so, the Seahawks should be keeping their eyes on Kaepernick’s workout. The team has Drew Lock as the QB1 on the roster after trading Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, but the team needs to bolster the quarterback room, whether through free agency, the trade block or the NFL Draft.
