Among Us is celebrating April Fools in its own fashion, with a time-limited Horse Mode as a free update. Among Us players can also grab free Halo crossover cosmetics.This Horse Mode is only available today, and leaves on April 1st 8pm EST/April 2nd 12am UTC. The mode will appear automatically if you’ve got the latest version of the game. According to the devs, this mode brings with it:Among Us Crewmates and Impostors reimagined as a more cursed four legged version of themselvesA new “neigh” kill sound that is voiced by our programmer Gary. This was originally a joke filler sound we used until we could find a real horse sound to use. Then we realized it was much better this way.A new (anticlimatic) kill animation for ImpostorsThe devs add that “This mode was made as a joke side project so there might be some janky visuals.” Also available for free are some Among Us x Halo cosmetics including a Spartan Helmet, Spartan Armour, and a Guilty Spark Pet. “We’re hyped to have worked with 343 Industries to bring you these official cosmetics for free, and as an exclusive to all our Xbox players – make sure you’re on v2022.3.29.” What do you think of Among Us’ April Fools content?
