After several delays, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe has finally been given a firm release date and will launch for Xbox consoles on April 27th. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an expanded re-imagining of the excellent The Stanley Parable, which launched on PC way back in 2013. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a first-person exploration game where you play as Stanley, who one day discovers that his co-workers have mysteriously vanished and sets out to find out why. Developer Crows Crows Crows says, “You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will make a choice, and you will have your choices taken from you. The game will end, the game will never end. Contradiction follows contradiction, the rules of how games should work are broken, then broken again. You are not here to win. The Stanley Parable is a game that plays you.”This Ultra Deluxe version of the game adds new choices, more secrets to uncover, and dramatically expands Stanley’s world. You can also expect better visuals and some new accessibility features. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe was announced back in 2018 with a 2019 release date, but was pushed back to 2020 where it was then delayed to 2021, and a further time to “early 2022.” We don’t yet have the The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe Achievements, but to get an idea of what you’ll likely be going up against, check out the game’s The Stanley Parable’s Steam achievement list. The Stanley Parable has a few hilarious (and dastardly) achievements — just check out the Commitment achievement, which requires you to play the game for the entire duration of a Tuesday, and the infamous Go Outside achievement, which asks you to not play the game for five years. The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on April 27th.Will you be picking this one up at launch?
