The Elder Scrolls Online Ascending Tide and Update 33 available now

The Elder Scrolls Online has kicked off 2022’s The Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure with the release of the Ascending Tide DLC and Update 33, which adds two new dungeons, account-wide in-game achievements, and more.If you’ve been itching to start The Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure ever since Zenimax announced it back in January, you’re in luck, because you can now begin playing the two new dungeons included in this year’s first DLC pack, Ascending Tide. Two new four-player dungeons have been added as part of the Ascending Tide DLC, which can be played as part of an ESO Plus subscription or purchased separately from the in-game Crown Store. Coral Aerie takes you to a secret Ascendant Order hideout and tasks you with saving Jakarn with the help of Captain Kaleen. As you fight your way through the Elven ruins and coral formations, you’ll be coming face-to-face with the Ascendant Order, as well as more monstrous creatures that call Coral Aerie home.In Shipwright’s Regret, you’ll need to cut your way through the undead, spirits, and Dreadsail pirates in order to navigate the rotting shipyard that is said to house some of the All Flags Navy vessels. Why would you step into such a treacherous place? To help Captain Za’ji, of course, and upgrade the Perfect Pounce — that cat is going to be the death of us.Both dungeons offer Normal, Veteran, and Hard Mode difficulties, as well as unique challenges that Zenimax says, can’t be found anywhere else in Tamriel. The stories found within Coral Aerie and Shipwright’s Regret will set the stage for The Elder Scrolls Online’s next expansion, High Isle, which launches in June. You can access the DLC as part of an ESO Plus subscription, or purchase it separately from the Crown Store. The base purchase is available for 1,500 Crowns, or you can pick up the Ascending Tide Collector’s Bundle for 4,000 Crowns. Of course, there are also two additional The Elder Scrolls Online achievements for completing both dungeons on Normal and Veteran difficulties. Alongside the Ascendant Tide DLC, Update 33 has made its way into the game. The update is free for all players and includes a host of bug fixes, performance improvements, and balance changes, as well as account-wide in-game achievements and new PvP rewards.Account-wide achievements work retrospectively and ensure that you only need to earn most in-game achievements on one character. Some will remain character-specific due to their requirements, but the majority of them will unlock across all of your characters once their requirements have been met. The change does mean that the Undaunted skill line and your rank with the guild have been altered somewhat, so check out the developer’s Q+A for more information.Players that love to partake in PvP can look forward to picking up the Rallying Cry, Hew and Sunder, and Enervating Auro sets from Rewards for the Worthy boxes with Update 33.
