The chaos continues to reign in March Madness as upsets ruled the Sweet 16, setting the stage for a potentially historic Elite Eight.

The 2022 NCAA Tournament has proven to be the maddest edition of March Madness ever. Two more top seeds got bounced, leaving Kansas as the only 1-seed still dancing in the Elite Eight, while Saint Peter’s made history by extending their Cinderella run at the expense of Purdue.

The odds of nailing this exact Elite Eight were extremely slim but the storylines to come out of the tournament have continued to show why March Madness is so special. Check out the latest NCAA Tournament bracket update with tickets to the Final Four on the line below.

Updated March Madness bracket heading into the Elite Eight

The action tips off on Saturday night with a pair of intriguing games in the South and West Regions. Houston will look to advance to their second consecutive Final Four as they take on Villanova in San Antonio, which could create a de facto home game for the Cougars, but the headliner of the day comes later in San Francisco.

The matchup of Duke and Arkansas isn’t as strong as the previous game but the Blue Devils are poised to return to the Final Four with a win. A victory there would ensure that Mike Krzyzewski’s final NCAA Tournament run will last until the season’s final weekend and keep the possibility of sending him into retirement with a sixth championship alive.

The Midwest and East Regions are up on Sunday but Kansas’ push to make the Final Four is clearly the undercard of the day. All eyes will be on Philadelphia to see if the Peacocks can topple North Carolina to reach the Final Four and become the biggest Cinderella story in March Madness history.
