Gran Turismo 7 Has Lowest User Score For A PS Exclusive In Sony’s Entire History

Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 7 has gotten off to a bit of a shaky start due to extended server downtime, and this has resulted in the racer now picking up the lowest user score on Metacritic for a PlayStation exclusive in Sony’s entire run as a console maker.The score fell as low as 2.2 on Metacritic which means it’s topped the previous lowest score recorder holder, Cool Boarders 2001 on the PS1.As previously reported, the issues stemmed from the release of Gran Turismo 7 update 1.07, although Polyphony Digital quickly followed this up with another patch that eventually rectified the problem.Creator Kazunori Yamauchi also released a statement on the downtime in wake of player frustration.It pains me that I can’t explain the details regarding this at this moment, but we plan on continuing to revise GT7 so that as many players as possible can enjoy the game.
