A Plague Tale is getting its own TV show, with Merlin Productions and Focus Entertainment co-producing, and Mathieu Turi directing Amicia and Hugo’s journey across war-torn France. The news comes via the French website Allocine (thanks, Gamesinsutry.biz), which reported on the production of A Plague Tale’s TV adaption thanks to the subscription-based site, Total Screen. According to the reports, the show will be directed by Inglourious Basterds, Lucy, and 3 Days to Kill assistant director Mathieu Turi, who directed his first movie, Hostile, in 2017.There aren’t any details regarding the show just yet, but it’s safe to assume that we can expect a similar storyline to that found within the game. A Plague Tale follows the journey of Amicia and her little brother Hugo, as they travel across France in the 14th Century. The pair attempt to survive against swarms of rats, the Black Death, and the Hundred Years’ War while looking to find a cure for Hugo’s strange ailment.A Plague Tale was a hit when it launched in 2019, and Asobo Entertainment has announced its sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem, will be launching later this year. The TV show will be co-produced by Merlin Productions and the game’s publisher, Focus Entertainment.Who do you think would best suit the roles of Amicia and Hugo? Let us know down in the comments!
