If you’re already hunting for those Elden Ring achievements, you likely know what high praise the game was released to, but this seems to be backed up by the sales data, too: in the UK, Elden Ring was the biggest launch for a game (apart from FIFA and COD) since Red Dead Redemption 2. This comes from GamesIndustry.biz, which published data from GSD, which confirmed that Elden Ring’s week one UK sales were bigger than those of Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and that Elden Ring sales were 2.5x more than Horizon: Forbidden West.According to GamesIndustry, biz, digital downloads made up most (68%) of Elden Ring’s sales, with Xbox and PC being the “biggest digital platforms,” while Xbox had 29% of both digital and physical sales compared with PlayStation 5’s 32%, 30% on PC, and 9% on PS4. Elden Ring launched to rave reviews, with even George R.R. Martin commenting to show how pleased he is that the game is a “landmark megahit.” We’re still getting trailers for Elden Ring, it seems; the latest one stars Ming-Na Wen, and you can check it out below:How are you enjoying Elden Ring?
