A relatively new industry insider and leaker, who goes by AccountNGT on Twitter, has claimed that Sucker Punch Productions is working on new Infamous and Sly Cooper games, presumably for the PlayStation 5. AccountNGT might be new to the scene but have quickly made a name for themselves for accurate leaks. They had scoops about Quantic Dream’s Star Wars project before it was announced and leaked details about the upcoming BioShock that were corroborated by other known insiders, among other information. Regardless, take this with a customary grain of salt like other rumors. What we know about new Infamous and Sly Cooper gamesThis isn’t the first time we’ve heard that new Infamous and Sly Cooper games are in development. Last October, Twitter user KrowNinja claimed that a new Sly Cooper is in early development. This was later corroborated by known insider Shpeshal_Nick. Shpeshal_Nick, who’s also been pretty accurate in the past, separately mentioned a new Infamous last year. Neither Sony nor Sucker Punch Productions have hinted at anything but it’s unlike them to tease projects in early development. Just yesterday, we found job listings that suggested that a Ghost of Tsushima sequel might be in production so if true, the studio has its plate pretty full.In the same Twitter thread in which AccountNGT claimed that the aforementioned games are in development, they added that Square Enix’s Forspoken seems to have been delayed.According to a source, Forspoken is delayed. It could be officially announced at that PlayStation Event (not sure). https://t.co/ymgwhJyJW3— AccountNGT (@accngt) March 2, 2022I can corroborate that a new Sly Cooper and a new Infamous are in development. https://t.co/ymgwhJyJW3— AccountNGT (@accngt) March 2, 2022Sony is rumored to be gearing up for a State of Play in March, but according to AccountNGT, the Russia/Ukraine conflict might throw a spanner in the works. In other news, Housemarque is working on a new IP, and PlayStation apparently dominated the worldwide console market in 2021.
