Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red is attempting to raise the FPS cap on Xbox Series S consoles, which will hopefully result in a performance boost for the game.CD Projekt Red global community manager, Marcin Momot, has given a Cyberpunk 2077 development update in the company’s forums regarding Patch 1.5. While most of the focus is aimed at PS4 disc troubles and PC crashing issues, it also highlights that the team is looking at raising the FPS cap for the game on Xbox Series S consoles. Momot does say, however, that “we are investigating our options but don’t know if this will be possible,” so it’s not a done deal just yet, but promising all the same.Patch 1.5 for Cyberpunk 2077 was released on Tuesday alongside the Xbox Series X|S upgrades of the game — which is a free upgrade that uses Xbox Smart Delivery, so the Cyberpunk 2077 achievements won’t stack. The update included improved AI and driving mechanics, a revamped perk system, and a ton of new customisation options, as well as a free DLC pack for you to enjoy. If you’ve been enjoying Cyberpunk 2077 — or enjoyed working through The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s achievements — a few developers from both games, as well as the games’ narrative director, have started a new studio called Rebel Wolves.
