Disney Speedstorm, described as “the ultimate hero-based battle-racing game,” has been announced as launching this year for PC and consoles, and will be free to download.The Disney Speedstorm site explains that the game is set on circuits that come straight from Disney and Pixar worlds, like the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed Pirates Island, and The Jungle Book’s Jungle Ruins, which are given a “fresh perspective geared specifically for racing.” We’ll be able to race as everyone from Jack Sparrow to Mulan and are asked to “master each character’s unique skills on the racetrack and claim victory.” Disney Speedstorm aims to refresh itself with regular seasonal content, including new racers, tracks, and collectibles, and there’s the option to pre-register on the site for a chance to be one of the first to play it.We don’t yet have a release date for Disney Speedstorm, just that it’s “coming soon” to PC and consoles.
