Fortnite’s ongoing PlayStation Cup tournaments return this coming weekend on February 11. Epic Games began this endeavor last year to benefit the PlayStation community. While some PC players make the jump to compete for a sizable prize pool, it’s an opportunity for console competitors to shine.
We’ve seen many winners, from top-tier PC players to PlayStation specialists. No matter the outcome, the $107K USD prize pool brings participants from all regions and platforms a chance to cash out.
Today, we’ll revisit the format, scoring system and look at the complete prize pool breakdown to prepare you for the PlayStation Cup on February 11.

Format
The PlayStation Cup format is relatively straightforward; it’s a two-round Solos tournament where placement points and eliminations dictate leaderboard position. Round One occurs on February 11, when players compete in ten possible matches across three hours.
Only the top 100 players advance to Round Two for a chance to collect a portion of $107K USD. It’s worth mentioning also that Round Two features six custom matches to determine the final leaderboard.

Scoring System
PlayStation Cup competitors can refer to the scoring system below to understand it better. Each game-winner in Round One will earn 30 points from placement and one per elimination. Round Two offers a similar structure, except eliminations are worth two points.
- Victory Royale: 30 points
- 2nd: 25 points
- 3rd: 22 points
- 4th: 20 points
- 5th: 19 points
- 6th: 17 points
- 7th: 16 points
- 8th: 15 points
- 9th: 14 points

Prize Pool
NA East, NA West, Europe and Brazil offer the same prize pool. Tournament winners will collect $1.2K USD, and only the top-64 players receive a payout. Oceania and the Middle East pay out the top-20 and $650 USD to first.

How to Play
Those looking to participate in the PlayStation Cup should head to Fortnite’s in-game ‘Compete’ tab on February 11. Once there, you’ll be able to see the PlayStation Cup and the start time. You should then see the tournament appear under the ‘Competitive’ playlist option after it begins. Make sure your account is at level 50, and 2FA is enabled. If you meet all those prerequisites, you can compete.
The talent on console is not as deep as PC, so you could find success and possibly advance to Round Two. Either way, the PlayStation Cup is an excellent introduction to competitive Fortnite and all it has to offer. Be sure to check out the complete tournament rules for more information.
