Apex Legends Newest Addition Mad Maggie Finally Has A Counter To Gibraltor’s Shield

Apex Legends is getting ready to kick off it’s new season this coming February 8, 2022, adding Salvo loyalist and former friend to Fuse, Mad Maggie. While we got the exact details of her kit recently, we now got to see it in action which answered some very pertinent questions. Namely, what her drill can actually go through.It seems that Maggie is the first legend to have a counter to Gibraltor’s shield tactical, as her Riot Drill tactical can actually penetrate the shield and deal massive damage to any team trying to stay within cover.This is the only thing able to do that in the game, and it will be a huge shake up to the meta of defensive play.It will be especially interesting to see how this effects play at the professional level, since most squads include a defensive character, usually Gibraltor.We also know that the Riot Drill can go through walls, which altogether could make it the most useful tactical in the game.You can check out the new gameplay trailer showing off Maggie’s kit for yourself, here:Source – [YouTube]
