Blizzard, which is known for IPs such as Diablo, World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and Starcraft, has announced that it’s working on a brand-new survival game for PC and consoles that’s set in “a whole new universe.” “Blizzard is embarking on our next quest,” reads a recruitment post over on the company’s website. “We are going on a journey to a whole new universe, home to a brand-new survival game for PC and console. A place full of heroes we have yet to meet, stories yet to be told, and adventures yet to be lived. A vast realm of possibility, waiting to be explored.” The announcement and an accompanying tweet seemingly include two pieces of concept art for the game. This will be the studio’s first new IP since releasing Overwatch back in 2016.Not much else has been said about the game, but according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, “even some of the most disgruntled Blizzard employees” have been raving about this new title. Blizzard’s Mike Ybarra said in a tweet that he’s played “maybe hours” of this project and that he’s “incredibly excited about the team’s vision and the brand-new world it presents for players to immerse themselves in together.” Whatever this new game is, it seems to be creating a bit of a buzz at the studio. Are you excited about a new Blizzard IP coming to consoles?
