The Dying Light 2: Stay Human team has now revealed that the game features 40,000 lines of dialogue and 350,000 words. Techland initially surprised players by announcing that Dying Light 2 will take at least 500 hours to complete, which the devs put into context by saying that it was almost as long as it would take “to walk from Warsaw to Madrid.” Like then, the team has again put its most recent tweet into context, by stating that the novel Anna Karenina also has 350,000 words.Not all players were thrilled with the idea that Dying Light 2: Stay Human could take so long to complete, and Techland was quick to clarify its statement with a breakdown which added that it will take 20 hours to complete the main story, 80 hours to complete the story and the side quests, and then 500 hours to completely max out the game, including hearing all the dialogue. Some players are again sharing their displeasure at Techland’s declaration that the game has 40,000 lines of dialogue, although this figure pales in comparison to games like Red Dead Redemption 2, which, according to Vulture, features 500,000 lines of dialogue.
