Hideo Kojima’s recent appearance on an NHK radio show special called “The Wonderful Music of Video Games” has apparently confirmed the development of a new AAA video game.The news comes via a tweet from Genki_JPN, who provided a Japanese translation of the show. During the show, Kojima allegedly — and modestly — unveiled that he’s working on “a big AAA title that everyone will say that they want to play.” Genki does note, however, that Kojima apparently stressed that pandemic related staff shortages have been a major issue in the game’s development, and that he’d also like to make a non-shooter or open-world game of smaller scope. The show reportedly unveiled that on top of the game, a new anime, drama, and film are in production — which is more than likely happening at his new LA-based film and TV production studio. Could this all be in connection with the rumoured Kojima and Xbox deal? We’ll let you know if anything is brought to light.
