Dead Cells developer working on a fix for unobtainable achievements

A whopping 46 new achievements were recently added to Dead Cells, the excellent roguelite from Motion Twin. Three of these achievements were quickly flagged as unobtainable, but the devs have assured us a fix is on the way.Two achievements from the Derelict Distillery title update (Born Sapper and Return to Sender) and one from the Fatal Falls DLC (Me, Jealous?) have not seen a single unlock, despite many players meeting the achievements’ requirements, which is a little frustrating. However, Evil Empire, the studio now responsible for Dead Cells’ future updates and DLC expansions, has said that it is aware of the broken achievements, and players can expect a fix soon. Evil Empire told us that there is a possibility that a fix will roll out in a new patch alongside the release of Dead Cells’ new DLC, The Queen and the Sea, which launches tomorrow (January 6th), though the developer couldn’t confirm for this for certain. If the fix doesn’t land tomorrow, rest assured that Evil Empire is aware of the issue and is working on getting it resolved. Dead Cells: The Queen and the Sea launches tomorrow (January 6th).
