Does every camera have to shoot 8k?”I’m not interested in 8K but expect to have an internal 10-bit Log codec, masking of the live-view image for different aspect ratios, Raw output with no line-skipping, and good assist tools for exposure and focusing. That sort of thing. Basic stuff.What excuse does Nikon have to withhold these things? They have no cine camera line to protect, unlike Sony and Canon.It’s a strategic error akin to Nikon’s neglect of the massive base of manual-focus Nikkors in the market. Nearly everyone who wants to use those lenses ends up buying a Sony camera. It’s absurd.
