Vernon Maxwell’s trolling of the Jazz is NBA Twitter’s gold standards

Nobody celebrates a Utah Jazz loss quite like former Houston Rockets guard Vernon Maxwell.

With the Utah Jazz being eliminated from 2021 NBA Playoffs after falling to the LA Clippers in Game 6 on Friday night, former Houston Rockets great Vernon Maxwell trolled them on Twitter.

Maxwell played in the NBA from 1988 to 2001. He is best known for his run with the Rockets where he won back-to-back NBA Finals in 1994 and 1995. During the Rockets’ peak as a franchise, they had a bitter rivalry with the Jazz. Over 25 years since he last played for Houston, Maxwell still is not particularly fond of the Jazz, as he destroyed them on Twitter this weekend.

Just look at Maxwell really sticking it to the Jazz and the fanbase online via social media Friday.

Vernon Maxwell held nothing back on social media when trolling the Utah Jazz

Maxwell is not even a former Clipper, but he is absolutely loving it that Los Angeles is going to its first conference finals in franchise history, mostly because it comes at the expense of a Jazz playoff exodus. Utah had been the top seed in the Western Conference this postseason, but was unable to hold home-court advantage to fall out in the second round to the No. 4-seeded Clippers.

At this point, the only team Maxwell played for that is still left in the playoffs are the Philadelphia 76ers. Though he may have fond memories of playing for them, the joy he could have from seeing Philadelphia win its first NBA Finals since 1983 cannot even compete with him seeing the Jazz get eliminated from the postseason in spectacular fashion. This is so incredibly petty, but we love it.

Nobody wants to see the Jazz do worse than the former shooting guard of the 1990s era Rockets.
