So who’s the best? Let’s figure it out together.

Have you been chipping away at other turn-based gacha RPGs while waiting for Magia Exedra? Get a load of the Honkai Star Rail tier list or Raid Shadow Legends tier list to build some better teams over there, too. And if you dabble in the big action RPGs, our Genshin Impact tier list and Wuthering Waves tier list might be able to help you budget your premium currency.

Naturally, 5* characters are at the top of the chain right now. Even before taking Ascensions (dupes) into account, they’re bound to be the most effective characters throughout the launch period.

Until content designed to mix things up arrives, you’ll likely want to focus on acquiring and upgrading any 5* character you have over 4* and 3* units.

Who is the best character in Magia Exedra?

Using the S+ tier as a basis, here’s a brief explanation as to why the listed characters are worth aiming for:

Madoka Kaname (Lux Magica)

Though not the strongest Breaker of the bunch, Madoka’s Lux Magica Kioku earns its place on the tier list largely down to how easy it is to obtain. You unlock one just for completing the tutorial, with it being relatively easy to max out just by pushing through the launch content.

With decent Break bonuses and good area damage potential, Lux Magica will make wave clearing a breeze for a good long while. Invest early to reap the benefits. Once those easy copies go away, though? Expect her to lose that S+ ranking.

Iroha Tamaki (Strada Futuro)

With so many benefits to breaking enemy units, Iroha’s numerous boons in the Break department make the Strada Futuro Kioku particularly powerful in basically any situation.

Whether it’s fast wave clears with an area damage team or a bigger boss you’re going up against, this Kioku should pack the punch you need to break down a wall, with her Crit benefits there to empower the rest of your team to make the most of the burst window she creates.

Oriki Mikuni (Oracle Ray)

This high-damage Breaker has all the makings of a unit we fully expect to stand the test of time. Thanks to stacking buffs from clearing waves, with great area damage to boot, Oriki’s Oracle Ray Kioku is expected to be the pinnacle wave clearing attacker for a while to come.

Felicia Mitsuki (Ultra Great Big Hammer)

Felicia’s signature 5* Kioku sees her big hammer take center stage. With great break benefits and decent area damage with matching debuffs, Felicia’s first crack at a 5* Kioku stands out among many others by enabling a high-damage team to set up shop while she inflicts debilitating stuns. She’s a safe bet in most teams.

Madoka Kaname (Pluvia Magica)

With exceptional Break potential and the ability to restore both MP and HP to the team while doing it,  Madoka’s premium 5* Kioku can be incredibly beneficial in tougher wave challenges. With proper timing, she can help you hold your own against a powerful boss, too.

What’s the best character to reroll for in Magia Exedra?

If you’re in no rush to push through the main story, rerolling can be a great way to get a top-tier team without eventually opening your wallet.

Though it’s a time-consuming process, you can cut a Magia Exedra reroll short by having a good understanding of who to aim for. It pays to know when to quit while you’re ahead.

When rerolling in Magia Exedra, it’s best to aim for a couple of 4* characters on top of a decent 5* unit in the tutorial pull. You’re guaranteed to get one of the ten 5* units in this, but no more than that. That’s why it makes sense to score a few 4* Kioku, too.

For this pull, we recommend aiming for some mix of the below:

  • Madoka Kaname (Lux Magika)
  • Iroha Tamaki (Strada Futuro)
  • Oriki Mikuni (Oracle Ray)
  • Felicia Mitsuki (Ultra Great Big Hammer)
  • Madoka Kaname (Pluvia Magica)

Plus any two or more of the following 4* units:

  • Circle of Fire
  • Yummy Hunter
  • Glittering Hurricane
  • Seraphic Trial
  • Unknown Flying Fire

The idea is to create a balanced team with Breakers, Attackers, Buffers, Debuffers, and Tanks. If you can fill two or more slots with S+ to A-tier characters of different roles, you should have the makings of a solid Magia Exedra team for a good long while.
