New Star GP is a straightforward arcade racer. The game’s career mode kicks off in the 80s and takes you through five decades of racing. There are 176 different events to tackle. You’ll find everything from time trials and checkpoint races to rival showdowns and full-on GP-style competitions.
There are 45 unique drivers spread across the decades, each with their own personality and racing style. And with 17 different track locations, every race has something new to offer. For instance, there are different track abrasions, weather conditions and unique layouts.

If you’re more into structured competition, New Star GP includes 17 championship events built around tracks from the career mode. There’s also a creation mode where you can design custom championships. In this one, you control everything from lap counts and weather to difficulty and track configurations.
New Star GP also lets you manage your motorsport team. You upgrade cars and make decisions that impact races. Tyre choices, component wear, fuel management and slipstreaming all play a role. And so does dynamic weather or a sudden car failure which can completely change the race.
