Realme hosted an event today to unveil the 14 Pro series for the international markets. Alongside the previously announced 14 Pro+, the 14 Pro was showcased with a lower price point but missing the periscope camera and sporting a less powerful chipset.

The Realme 14 Pro+ features a 6.83″ AMOLED display, while the 14 Pro has a 6.77″ panel, both offering a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a resolution greater than 1080p. They include an under-display fingerprint scanner and a 32 MP front-facing camera on the Pro+ or 16 MP on the Pro, positioned behind a punch hole.

The key distinction between the 14 Pro+ and the 14 Pro lies in their chipsets: the Plus is equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, whereas the standard version utilizes the Dimensity 7300, which features slightly older CPU cores.

A notable design feature is the Pearl White option, which reacts to temperature changes. The 14 Pro series is the world’s first to shift colors as the panel cools, transitioning from White to Blue when the temperature drops below 16 degrees Celsius.

Realme takes great pride in the camera system of the 14 Pro duo, especially highlighting the Plus model as the standout in camera performance. It features a 50 MP main camera equipped with a large 1/1.56” Sony IMX 896 sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Additionally, the telephoto lens incorporates a periscope design, which many other mid-range devices forgo.

The sensor utilized in the prism lens is a 50 MP Sony IMX882, and Realme asserts that it can achieve 120X SuperZoom. However, this consists of 3x optical zoom, with the remainder being digital zoom.

To improve on image quality Realme incorporated the AI Ultra Clarity 2.0 feature. In theory, this innovation reduces blur, minimizes noise in 20x images, and showcases distinct super-resolution effects at 60x.

Last month, we tested the phone in Copenhagen, Denmark. We captured some camera samples both during the day and at night, and they turned out beautiful.

The Realme 14 Pro retains its distinctive triple-camera and triple-flash setup, dubbed “Ocean Oculus”; however, only two of the circles are functional as the third serves merely as a cosmetic feature. It features a 50 MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS, complemented by an 8 MP ultra-wide lens.

Devices with the same footprint indicate they also share the same battery capacity. The Realme 14 Pro series features a 6,000 mAh battery, which is 15% larger and offers 20% more battery life compared to the earlier models. It supports 80W fast wired charging (45W on the regular Pro), and Realme guarantees 80% battery capacity even after four years of use- that is equal to 1,600 full charge cycles.

The phones ship with Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, and they have 360-degree NFC (market-dependent).

Realme 14 Pro+

The Realme 14 Pro series launches in India today, with plans to expand to other markets shortly. The standard 14 Pro is offered in Black, Purple, and Pearl White, priced at INR 22,999 ($265) for the 8/128 GB version. In contrast, the 14 Pro+ shares similar color and memory choices but comes with a price tag of INR 27,999 ($325).

Availability, colors, and memory configurations may differ by region.
