Final Fantasy 7 Remake is also rumored to hit Xbox consoles in 2025.Last year, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said there are no “red lines” for Xbox exclusives launching on PlayStation. Now, new rumors suggest that some of Microsoft’s biggest franchises could make the jump to the rival platform. According to podcaster NateTheHate, who has a decent track record with leaks, Microsoft is planning to launch both Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 this year. Windows Central corroborated these claims and also stated that Microsoft has plans to bring Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology: Retold, and “potentially” Gears of War: Ultimate Edition to PlayStation 5 in 2025, too. Interestingly, it seems that 2025 could be the year that Square Enix finally brings Final Fantasy 7 Remake to Xbox. NateTheHate says he can confirm that Remake will be coming to Xbox in 2025 and that Final Fantasy Rebirth will follow in 2026. Last year, Square Enix announced it was “aggressively pursuing” a new multiplatform strategy, which includes Xbox, so could this year be the year we finally see FF7 Remake on Xbox consoles? At this point, Microsoft bringing its biggest Xbox franchises to rival consoles shouldn’t come as a surprise.
