A new report from TheGamePost claims that Bungie’s unannounced IP codenamed Gummy Bears is a new competitive MOBA game, but not just any MOBA.It’s described as a cross between a team-based MOBA and Smash Bros, Nintendo’s platform fighter that has been undefeated in the genre for decades now.According to the report, Project Gummy Bears will borrow the damage percentage-based health bars from Smash Bros., and not only that but players that take too much damage will also be thrown entirely off the map, just like in Smash Bros. The report continues saying that players will have three separate classes of characters to choose from between Support, Attack and Defense, three pretty standard classes that players will pick for “multiple game modes.”It also claims that internally, this is the “most fun” game Bungie has cooking, has been in the works for three years and will be focused at a younger audience. If this is all correct about where Bungie is going with Project Gummy Bears, then it’s also clearly a huge shift from what Bungie’s done in the past. Perhaps it’s the exact kind of big change the studio needs.Source – [TheGamePost]
