Dig It Magnets Guide

Onto the important bits.

About Magnets

You first run into magnets in the tutorial quest. These are items that increase your Luck while digging. They’re equipped alongside your shovel. If you’re a Fisch player, think of them as the Dig It equivalent of bait in Fisch! There are several different types available, and you can find them while digging, receive them as daily rewards, or buy them from the Magnet Box seller NPC on certain islands.

You can equip magnets from your equipment page. You’ll find them on the side bar to the left of your shovels. Select one in order to equip it to your shovel. Once it’s there it should passively apply its effect, though be aware, once you’ve used the magnet, it’s gone! You’ll need to keep a stock of magnets, especially if you have you eye on something specific.

Available Magnets

There are currently four different kinds of magnet, which you can find in Magnet Boxes, each has a different effect. They change your likelihood of digging up certain item types.

  • Regular
    • 5% extra chance for Home items.
  • Urban
    • 30% extra chance for Home items.
  • Fossilized
    • 14% extra chance for Fossilized items.
  • Radiant
    • 39% extra chance for Nuclear items.

You should try and be selective in how you deploy your magnets. Make sure you pick islands with these kinds of items when you use them, because you can’t unearth items that aren’t there!
