With thousands of games available, and more constantly releasing, it’s a tall order to whittle my favourites down a measly three. This year alone, I’ve played, sampled and written guides on plenty of titles. But, which stood above the rest? If you’re looking to try something new over the holiday season, or compare your top three to mine, stick around as I jump right into my Top 3 Roblox Games of 2024.

Top 3 Roblox Games of 2024
Let’s get right into my top picks of the year!
Fisch
You’re living on the ocean floor if you haven’t heard of or played Fisch. This up-and-coming title was released late into 2024 and took over the platform amassing a huge fanbase of eager anglers. Those hooked on this title only have one common goal in this open-world low-stress experience: complete each bestiary.
That’s it. That’s the entirety of Fisch in its simple, elegant brilliance. Each island draws you in with its unique species local to the area, gorgeous world design and the constant chase for the next best meta rod. Fisch is more than a simple RNG simulator. It’s a lifestyle and continues to absorb all of my free time as I desperately try to reach level 500 for the No Life Rod.
Block Tales
An underdog compared to my first place. Block Tales has a fun retro game feel with charismatic zany NPCs and exciting battle sequences. This turn-based RPG stunts unique visuals for a Roblox game and has just enough madness to keep anyone hooked. This pick has a more linear approach to gaming (literally) as you work through a wacky story with little wiggle room for exploration. Don’t worry, it’s not rushed or time-based! If you run into NPCs, strike a chat and listen to their mindless rambles and hilarious dialogue.
Doodle World
Doodle World takes inspiration from Pokémon and offers the same flavour of story progression but for free on Roblox! Each area explored has an index so if you’re a completionist like me, you’ll put the lore on hold to catch ’em all. As implied by the title, your team companions look drawn and scribble-like. This charming game had me in a chokehold earlier this year, and I’d play it often after work to try and level grind or chase misprints (shiny doodles).
I’d go as far as to say this love letter to Pokémon is one of the better ones on Roblox. The story is engaging, the doodles have unique and fun designs with cleverly crafted movesets and typings, the NPCs are diverse and I like the other features such as the roulette. If you’re a fan of Pokémon, strategy battling or the sound of creature capture, I’d recommend checking out Doodle World!
