Strinova tier list – the best characters and all agent roles

Byadmin

Dec 23, 2024

Who are the best Strinova characters to play as? There are 18 agents, or characters, to choose from currently in iDreamSky’s third-person tactical shooter. These are split into five different roles, and therefore all play very uniquely. It’s important to master their mechanics and abilities, as well as knowing where to position yourself in the arena to work towards victory with your teammates.

While there are Strinova codes available to help with some freebies towards success in the anime game, the only way to ensure you’re contributing positively to your team’s success is by being intricately familiar with your chosen agent, but how do you decide who that is? We’ll run down the best Strinova characters, their abilities, and how difficult they are to master in our Strinova tier list below.

Strinova tier list

The best Strinova characters are:

Tier Agent
S Ming, Lawine, Michele, Yugiri, Celestia, Galatea
A Fuchsia, Fragrans, Flavia, Kanami
B Reiichi, Meredith, Yvette, Bai Mo, Kokona
C Nobunaga, Maddelena, Audrey, Eika, Yvette

It’s important to note that all of the Strinova characters have the potential to be fantastic in the right hands, as their abilities and ultimates are varied and efficient. However, we’ve based our tier list on how quickly they can turn the tide of a battle, as well as how easy they are to master when you understand how they work. They’re separated into different roles, too, which are all explained below.

All Strinova characters and abilities

There’s a whole host of adorable anime characters in Strinova, and some are more difficult to master than others. We’ll split this list in alphabetical order, so you can easily find your desired agent and learn all about them, their abilities and ultimate, and whether they suit your playstyle. The Strinova characters are:

Strinova tier list: Audrey wields her Champion weapon

Audrey

Audrey is the head of the Grove family, a force powerful once upon a time in Strinova before being betrayed by her uncle, an act which destroyed the family business. She is on a quest to restore the family name’s glory by working with Urbino.

While her high rate of fire in deployment mode and her shield generation are a force to be reckoned with, she is vulnerable to being flanked, grenades, smoke bombs, and snipers that aim at her legs, where her shield doesn’t reach to protect. Ming’s Sunder Blast skill is especially effective and can easily pierce through Audrey’s shield.

Strinova Baimo

Bai Mo

Bai Mo is the leader of Urbino, a commercial alliance focused on art and technology, researching Bablo crystals with the ultimate aim of achieving interdimensional travel.

He’s powerful if used efficiently but can be hard to master, making him a vulnerability in the field. He excels at flanking and can execute powerful attacks. We’d recommend not taking his single-bullet upgrade, as it has a big effect on his normal gameplay.

Strinova Celestia

Celestia

Celestia is one of the first characters you meet in Strinova, and performs a support role as a healer. She is the founder of the Astral Sanctuary.

While her weapon is a little weak, the rest of her kit is focused on healing her allies. The armor she provides is temporary, so to master Celestia you’ll need to focus on using her abilities at the optimal time to extend their efficiency.

strinova tier list eika

Eika

Eika, sometimes stylized as Aika, is a high school student in Strinova and works for her family’s restaurant as a delivery worker when she isn’t studying.

Eika is most effective at close range thanks to her shotgun, and her skills are also geared towards causing chaos in tight spaces. She’s a duelist, meaning she’s a good choice for those familiar with tactical shooters.

strinova tier list flavia

Flavia

Flavia, as a Duelist, has a kit geared towards survivability. She is a special agent of Painting Utopia Security in Strinova, and wields a dangerous SMG.

Not much else is known about Flavia’s background just yet, but if you’re looking for a strong all-round beginner character to choose, she could be a good option for your playstyle.

strinova tier list fuchsia

Fuchsia

The pink-haired Fuchsia is a mercenary employed by Urbino. While she is exceptionally skilled in combat, she has little other skills or knowledge.

When she’s deployed on missions, Fuchsia wears a mask that absorbs Bablo energy to enhance her abilities. She is young, so has been known to be naive and easy to deceive. She makes up for that with her strength and abilities tenfold, though.

Strinova tier list Galatea

Galatea

Galatea is an artist and magician of Urbino in Strinova. Her younger sister is Maddelena, but Galatea differs from her in that she is renowned for her talent. She is highly mobile, able to flank enemies at unexpected locations.

Galatea is not an agent we would recommend for beginners or anyone that isn’t confident in Strinova as she is very difficult to master. Her weapon is relatively underpowered, so she isn’t used much in the Chinese version of the game’s ranked mode.

strinova tier list kanami

Kanami

Kanami secretly works for The Scissors, a military faction that strongly opposes the values of the Painting Utopia Security faction. The Scissors hope to return to earth, the place they consider the true home of humanity, instead of existing solely in Strinova.

Kanami is a talented actress and singer, but in combat she excels at revealing the enemy’s position with soundwaves. She can even hold an impromptu concert to distract and entice foes.

strinova tier list kokona and her healing drone

Kokona

Kokona is a P.U.S. investigator and instructor who has mentored many young investigators. She is gentle and cheerful, but loves an inappropriate joke from time to time.

As a support character, she plays the role of a medic, and carries two healing drones in combat. Her sniper rifle is not to be messed with though, do not mistake this support character for one with weak damage output.

strinova tier list lawine

Lawine

Lawine is the taciturn executor of The Scissors. She carries out her missions in the shadows, specializing in stealth and reconnaissance.

Lawine’s pulse blade is lethal, slashing through her enemies and using electromagnetic fields to her advantage. She is a vanguard character, and we’d recommend using her if you prefer a stealthy approach to combat.

strinova tier list maddelena

Maddelena

Maddelena is Galatea’s less talented sibling, according to Strinova lore. She’s an artist with a focus on painting and Urbino developed a special spray gun for her to play a supportive role in battle.

Her paint gun is her strongest asset, but she also focuses on string-blocking and tracking enemies. She’s a controller character, who can be tricky to use effectively, but certainly worth the time investment it takes to learn her skillset.

strinova tier list meredith

Meredith

Meredith is the leader of The Scissors. She comes across as wise and mysterious, especially when wielding her pyramid device, which she somehow uses to summon sandstorms and control battles.

She is difficult to master, as her kit is versatile making it hard to choose which abilities to focus on. She has several awakening options, but as her first allows for opening up new routes to successfully flank, we tend to opt for this. For example, enemies will usually avoid the center lane in Port Euler, but her skill allows teammates to fly from the center to point B through high-up openings.

strinova tier list michele

Michele

As a rookie member of Painting Utopia Security in Strinova, Michele is also an avid gamer. She transfers those skills to real-world combat alongside her seniors Kokona an Nobunaga.

Michele’s assault rifle is a great option for beginners to the game, as it’s easy to use and effective. Her active skill can be used to gather information, while her ultimate is one of the strongest in the game.

strinova tier list ming

Ming

Ming is a member of The Scissors, set on overthrowing the Painting Utopia Security faction. She was once a soldier, and the years spent in combat have given her an edge.

She wields an electromagnetic arm that is capable of manipulating electric currents to aid her attacks and skills. Use Ming as a frontal assault to push forward, as she can absorb a lot of damage and even heal passively thanks to her skills. If you communicate and cooperate effectively with your team, Ming is an essential asset.

strinova tier list nobunaga

Nobunaga

Nobunaga is a captain of the Painting Utopia Society, acting rationally and reliably. His brother, Reiichi, betrayed him to join The Scissors, and he has not forgotten this.

His semi-automatic rifle can be upgraded to be fully automatic. His skills work more effectively when he is in range of his Guardian Eyes, which grant him temporary survivability and weapon buffs. When his ultimate, Pulse Overload, is unleashed, it’s best to avoid fighting in its range if you’re against him on the enemy team.

strinova tier list reiichi

Reiichi

Reichii is a cold sniper, member of The Scissors, and betrayed P.U.S. in a mission that his brother Nobunaga struggles to forget.

Reichii’s semi-automatic rifle is ideal for mid-range fights, and his Ligh Screen is powerful for obstructing enemy vision when attacking a bomb site in the Demolition game mode, or pushing the payload in Escort missions. Combining his ultimate with his third awakening means that your entire team can benefit from a huge advantage.

strinova tier list yugiri

Yugiri

Yugiri is able to wield poison following an accident during an experiment. She is under the supervision of P.U.S.

Her poisonous kit is lethal to enemies, and the damage-over-time effect of her skills is unlike anything else in Strinova, making her easy to learn as a beginner.

strinova tier list yvette

Yvette

Yvette is a genius researcher supported by P.U.S. in Strinova. She is introverted, speaking mainly to her plushie, Fay, who she takes everywhere. Fay can also aid Yvette in battle.

Fay can create immobilizing frost, which when used correctly can be hugely efficient in slowing the enemy. Working alongside teammates who can reveal enemies is the most effective way to use Yvette and Fay.

  • Weapon: Beareas (SMG) – A lightweight SMG with high rate of fire and 1.25x scope.
  • Active Skill: Teddy Assault – Yvette summons Fay, a controllable teddy bear that creates an icy surface upon colliding or on command, causing slipping and increased vulnerability.
  • Passive Skill: Camouflage – Yvette becomes camouflaged after standing still, remaining invisible to distant enemies and gradually visible to those closer.
  • Ultimate: Yvette summons a Frost Bear that creates 3 polar zones in succession, causing enemies to slip, slowing their rate of fire, and reducing weapon usability.

Strinova roles explained

The Strinova roles are Sentinel, Duelist, Controller, Support, and Initiator. Given the game’s unique dimension-switching mechanic that allows you to transform from 3D to 2D and back again in a pinch, the roles are present to go the extra mile in differentiating one character from the next, and adding a purpose to those agents in each match.

Sentinel

The three Sentinel characters in Strinova are Audrey, Michele, and Nobunaga. They excel at defending key positions in arenas and disrupting an enemy attack. They’re best positioned at narrow points of the map, or areas where enemies have the potential to flank. Michele, for example, has a powerful turret that will automatically fire at in-range foes, while Nobunaga can silence enemies with his ultimate to disrupt their abilities for a short while.

Duelist

The Duelist characters in Strinova are Bai Mo, Eika, Flavia, Fuchsia, and Ming. Duelists are a good starting point for anyone familiar with tactical shooters, such as Valorant. They can quickly find and eliminate enemies, dictating matches. Ming, for example, can slow movement while increasing her armor regeneration rate.

Controller

The Controller characters in Strinova are Maddelena, Mereditch, Yugiri, Yvette, and Reiichi. Controllers focus on securing important areas of advantage within the arena and minimizing the efficiency of the enemy team. For example, Maddelena can slow enemy movement and string-block them, preventing them from using the vital 2D to 3D shift technology needed to evade bullets, climb walls, and slip through small gaps.

Support

The Support characters in Strinova are Celestia, Fragrans, and Kokona. Support characters are fairly self explanatory. If you’ve played any role-based shooter, you’ll have recognized support characters and their importance. They ensure the survival of their team, and can sometimes boost their attack abilities too. Celestia, for example, can restore and increase allied armor, and Kokona’s drone can seek out and automatically revive downed teammates.

Initiator

The Initiator characters in Strinova are Galatea, Kanami, and Lawine. Formerly known as Vanguard characters prior to Strinova’s global release, the Initiator is a challenging role. They gather important information from enemy teams, revealing their locations. You’re best playing the Initiator characters stealthily, finding a hidden vantage point. While Lawine and Kanami can reveal the location of the enemy, Galatea can drop decoys to show false allied locations to the other team.
