It’s that time again when all of the apps and platforms you use every day begin rounding up what you watched, listened to, or played over the last 12 months. Following a less-than-popular name change last year, Steam’s annual roundup is back and it comes bearing its original Steam Replay name as well.
Whether you have a specific live service game that soaks up most of your time or you spread yourself thinly across dozens of the best PC games around, Steam Replay has arrived once again to break down exactly how your year in gaming shaped up. In a new post, Valve admits that last year’s name change to ‘Steam Year In Review’ was “a dumb idea,” and I have to say I’m glad to see the old moniker back.
This year’s breakdown comes with all the usual bells and whistles as well as some new features too. Steam Replay gives you a fancy breakdown of your top five most played games and the percentage of your overall playtime that you spent on each one. It shows you how many achievements you completed. There’s even Steam Deck-specific metrics for the games you played on the go. This year, Valve has also added new “spider graphs” to show you your most-played games in a different view.
To get your Steam Replay, all you have to do is sign into your account and follow this link. It’s also plastered all over the Steam homepage, so you can’t miss it.
As gamers start sharing their Steam Replay roundups (both with pride and shame), I’m already seeing plenty of Elden Ring thanks to this year’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in people’s top fives, a lot of Balatro, and some big play time on major time-sinks like Diablo 4, Helldivers 2, and Destiny 2. I’ve even seen Path of Exile 2 pop up a few times – an impressive feat given it dropped less than two weeks ago.
