Five games already confirmed for Game Pass in January 2025Next month sees biggies like Sniper Elite: Resistance join the service, and while we’ll likely hear more of what Microsoft has planned for Game Pass in January 2025 closer to the time, here’s everything that has been confirmed so far.Carrion — January 2The Carrion achievements are pretty darn secretiveDeveloper: Phobia Game StudioGame Pass tier: Game Pass StandardArriving just for Game Pass Standard on January 2 is Carrion. It’s an interesting twist on horror games, since you take on the role of a terrifying creature trying to escape the facility it has been imprisoned in.Road 96 — January 7The Road 96 achievements take you on a journey to flee over the borderDeveloper: DigixArtGame Pass tier: Xbox Game Pass Standard, Ultimate, and PC Game PassFirst up on the list is Road 96, a procedurally generated road trip adventure game set in 1996. It sees you making for the border to escape the Regime: the authoritarian rule governing Petria. On the way you’ll meet new people and make decisions which could affect, well, everything.Eternal Strands — January 28Then we have third-person action-adventure game Eternal Strands, which joins Game Pass as a day-one addition on January 28. We play as Brynn, who relies on magical skills and weapons to take on enormous enemies while on a quest to uncover the secrets of The Enclave.Sniper Elite: Resistance — January 30On January 30 we get Sniper Elite: Resistance, which combines stealth, tactical third-person combat, and of course, sniping features, for a mission with the French Resistance. The story for this game goes alongside that of Sniper Elite 5 and features Special Operations Executive agent Harry Hawker.Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector — January 31And then as the very last addition of the month, we have sci-fi RPG Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector on January 31. Set amidst the Starward Belt, we play as an android who’s on the run from a powerful corporation, and are tasked with putting together a crew and ship to make a new life.As you can see from this list, we have a big gap between Road 96 at the start of the month and the other three games at the end, and we’ll likely hear from Microsoft soon enough about their plans for more Game Pass additions in that period. There aren’t currently any upcoming Xbox exclusives down for January 2025, but who knows, we might hear differently from Microsoft and see some surprises from those “early 2025” exclusives.
