Team Asobi has announced a surprise Astro Bot PS5 winter update, which is due out tomorrow, December 12, at 6 p.m. PT. As a thank you to fans for their support, the developer is adding free additional content in form of a new level called ‘Winter Wonder.’

Players need to complete the base game in order to access Astro Bot Winter Wonder level. As we’ve come to expect from Team Asobi, what the level entails is a surprise, but we’ve been told that it’ll be “a fun-filled level with shiny presents, a good dose of jingle bells, and brand-new special bots to add to your crew!”
Winter Wonder won’t be a challenge level. Over on the PS Blog, Team Asobi said that the update is designed for all types of players, calling it a “celebration enjoyable for children and adults alike.” “We had a lot of fun making this special present for you all, and we hope you enjoy it very much, too,” the studio added.
Trophy tracking websites haven’t picked up any additional Astro Bot trophies yet, so we’re not sure if there will be any of those for players to unlock.
Don’t expect any further Astro Bot updates until 2025.
