About Aurora Bait
Aurora Bait is a new type of bait introduced in the first part of the Winter update. It comes alongside the Holly Berry and the Peppermint Worm. It has the following bait stats.
- Preferred Luck: +100
- Universal Luck: +30
- Resilience: +10
- Lure: -5
These make it the best bait of the new Winter update baits, and one of the best baits available in terms of its general bonuses. That’s not all, though! 10% of fish caught with the Aurora Bait come with the Aurora Mutation which increases a fish’s value by an enormous 650%. The only other way to do this is through the Aurora Rod, which means waiting for an Aurora Borealis event and dropping 90,000C$ on making the purchase. We’ve said the word ‘Aurora’ way too many times.
How To Get Aurora Bait
There is currently only one way to get your hands on Aurora Bait, and that’s through the Advent Calendar. The Fischmas Advent Calendar awards Aurora Bait on Day 13, or the 19th of December. You can get 15 of them for showing up on the day and speaking to the Tom Elf NPC at Moosewood. Ideally, you should probably hop on every day of the Advent Calendar to get the special prizes. Still, if you want the Aurora Bait in particular, then the 19th of December is your best bet.
