ASUS ROG and M6 World Championship launch MLBB tournament for media partners

Game developer MOONTON Games and Republic of Gamers (ROG), the gaming sub-brand of hardware manufacturer ASUS, have announced a tournament for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang’s M6 media partners.

The Mobile Legends Bang Bang Media Championship (MMC) will be held on the sidelines of the M6 World Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and commences December 10th.

The MMC will comprises eight teams of media representatives competing for a prize pool of 40,000 in-game Diamonds and five of the latest ASUS ROG Phone 8. The media tournament for MOONTON’s popular mobile esports title will comprise of an Elimination Round and the Grand Finals.

The elimination round will last for two days, from December 10th – 11th. The event will conclude with The Grand Finals on December 14th, three days after the Elimination round.

With the tournament, organisers MOONTON Games and ASUS intend to recognise the media’s efforts to promote the MLBB esports scene via their coverage. According to a release, the publisher looks to give the media a firsthand glimpse of the competitive experience for the popular MOBA title.

The main event of the MLBB esports scene, the M6 World Championship is set to conclude on December 15th. Notably, the event is looking to follow in the footsteps of its previous editions as one of esports’ most viewed events. Last year’s edition, the M5 World Championship secured a peak viewership of 5m viewers.

In 2023, MOONTON Games announced a two-year partnership with ASUS ROG. That same year, ASUS unveiled an MLBB-themed smartphone ahead of the M5 World Championship.
