Fintech company Xsolla has announced a partnership with London-based gaming venue Red Bull Gaming Sphere for its Office Hours events.
The deal will see Xsolla become an official supporting partner for payment solutions at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere for its Office Hours initiative.
The Red Bull Gaming Sphere is a public esports and gaming venue in London that hosts competitions, events and activations. The Gaming Sphere was opened in 2018 as the second of its kind worldwide and has since been followed by similar venues across other cities, such as Stockholm.
The partnership with Xsolla will be based on the upcoming Office Hours events in the Gaming Sphere, an initiative for game developers that aims to foster collaboration and teamwork between developers.
During the event, game developers can use the Sphere as a coworking space to collaborate and share games. In the afternoon, the event will transform into a networking-focused initiative where industry professionals will be available to give advice and award the best games. So far, three Office Hours events will be hosted in January and February 2025.
Chris Meredith, SVP EMEA at Xsolla, commented on the deal: “We believe in providing equal access to opportunities for everyone and are committed to supporting efforts to help grow the local game development community in the UK. Through our advanced payment solutions, we aim to empower developers to bring their creative visions to life.”
Xsolla has recently made headlines by partnering with Savvy Games Group, the owners of the ESL FACEIT Group, to work on the creation of a game development academy, incubator and accelerator programme in Saudi Arabia.
