Citizen Sleeper 2 and Eternal Strands join Xbox Game Pass in January, adding to the lineup of upcoming Game Pass games. Yellow Brick Games’ action-adventure game Eternal Strands drops into the service on January 28, 2025, whereas the highly-anticipated sequel Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector joins Game Pass on January 31, 2025. Eternal StrandsDeveloped by Yellow Brick Games, Eternal Strands is a fantasy action-adventure title that sees you step into the shoes of Brynn, a Weaver armed with powerful magical abilities. Decades ago, the Enclave sealed itself away from the rest of the world behind a seemingly impenetrable barrier, but a band of weavers have managed to find a way through, and it’s now up to Brynn to explore this lost world and reclaim her people’s cultural home. While exploring the wilds and the capital city of Dynevron, you will use your abilities and an arsenal of magical weapons to bring down a diverse range of fantastical enemies, including humanoid constructs and hulking beasts, to uncover the mysteries of what happened to this lost land.Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward VectorCitizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is a follow-up to 2022’s excellent tabletop-inspired narrative RPG Citizen Sleeper. In the sequel, you play as a sleeper, an “emulation of a human mind housed in an artificial body.” On the run from the corporation that made and owns you, you will need to build a network of crew and friends across the Starward Belt and commandeer a ship if you want to build a future for yourself. According to developer Jump Over the Age, Citizen Sleeper 2 builds on Citizen Sleeper’s table-top RPG mechanics by adding a new ‘Push’ ability to each class that “can help you turn the tide of a difficult job or send you into a dangerous spiral depending on how and when you choose to use it.”Citizen Sleeper is one of the best Xbox Game Pass games and is absolutely worth checking out if you’re a subscriber.
