Stalker 2’s second Xbox update brings some major fixes

According to the Stalker 2 update 1.0.2 patch notes, which rolled out to players on Xbox Series X|S and PC over the weekend. The update follows the game’s massive first post-launch patch, in which players collecting the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl achievements downloaded last week. Spoiler warning: The patch notes contain story spoilers, so read on at your own risk!Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Update 1.0.2 patch notesFixed an issue when the second wave of Monolith soldiers would not spawn during the “On the Edge” mission, blocking further progression.Fixed the issue when Richter could be found dead during the “A Minor Incident” mission, blocking further progression.The fixed issue was a player could get stuck after installing the fuse in the Wild Island area if they got the Emitter from Faust’s Cell first during the “Just Like the Good Old Days” mission, blocking further progression.The fixed issue was when a player could not successfully complete the “All That is Left” mission while exploring the Chemical Plant region.Fixed issue when quest enemies could spawn in unreachable areas for a player during the “Down Below” mission, blocking further progression.Fixed an issue when Scar could be missing during the “Visions of Truth” mission.A few more EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors are fixed.After launching with a plethora of bugs and performance issues in November, GSC Game World dropped the first post-launch update for Stalker 2 last week. The update was packed to the brim with over 650 fixes, tackling everything from selling prices and the cost of repairs to controller dead zones and adjustments to the Rookie difficulty. Despite its many issues, we absolutely loved the game during our Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl review, and we look forward to seeing the team build on the already great foundations that are there.
