January brings another disappointing wave of Xbox server closures for players to battle against. To help you figure out which games to prioritize over the next month, we’ve rounded up and listed out all the planned server shutdowns for January 2025 to sit alongside our list of December 2024’s Xbox server closures.Xbox server closures planned for January 2025The WWE 2K23 servers were originally down to close on September 30, but 2K Games delayed the shutdown to January. Both the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions of WWE 2K23 will lose online functionality on January 6, 2025, which means 13 achievements in each stack will be discontinued. It’s worth noting that WWE 2K23 has been delisted from the Xbox store. As for the EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, servers will close on January 16, 2025. The golf sim has two online-only achievements that will be discontinued once the server closure hits: Playing For Fun and Playing For Rank. These are incredibly simple achievements that only ask you to play an unranked H2H game and an unranked H2H game. That being said, EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour does already feature two discontinued achievements, so the completion here will be out of reach for some of you. Finally, Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol shuts down on January 18, 2025. This free-to-play MMORPG, which had its Western release canceled, is only available to download through the Japanese Xbox store, so it’s likely that not many have started Blue Protocol. All achievements will be discontinued once Blue Protocol’s servers are shut down.If you missed it, a whopping 19 Xbox games will be delisted in December 2024, including some big titles. Do you need to grab any online achievements from these games before they’re gone for good? Let us know down in the comments.
