Things You Didn’t Know In Fisch

Performance Mode
If you’re inside the Desolate Deep or in Vertigo, you may struggle to see your surroundings. These locations are dark, and even if you have a lantern equipped, it’s still hard to see what is around. However, this nifty trick is here to solve that! If you click on ‘Menu’ at the top of your screen and scroll down, you will find an option called ‘Performance Mode’. Toggle the button next to it so it is set to on, and the lighting will improve! Images will appear brighter and clearer, helping you navigate these dark areas.
The Drowned
Unlike obtaining the other titles, receiving ‘The Drowned’ is slightly different. If you make your way to Vertigo and keep walking past the Synth NPC you will find a small cave entrance. You should be standing opposite Synth. Drop down the rock, and use a Glider to fly across to the other rock. Then, follow the passageway until you reach the end. You will see a whirlpool in the waters below. If you jump into this, you will die and receive ‘The Drowned’ title and respawn in Vertigo.
Secret NPC
Instead of jumping into that whirlpool, if you glide to the other side, you will find a small NPC near the wall. He is translucent, so you’ll have to look hard to find him! However, when interacting with him, he laughs and asks if you can see him. He doesn’t do much apart from that.
Fish Variations
Fish have the chance to get a ‘Shiny’ variation. However, many fish with this variation will have a big change in appearance and resemble iconic characters. For example, the shiny version of the Skelefish resembles Sans from Undertale. Check out the guide I linked above to find out about the others!
Lantern Keeper
The Lantern Keeper NPC lurks behind the lighthouse in Moosewood. Occasionally, he appears during the day, but he is most often found at night. When speaking to him, he offers you a lantern for 1,000C$. You have a 1/10 chance to get each, or a 1/50 chance to get the Fairy Lantern. If you get lucky and obtain that, a glowing halo-like circle will float next to you. When buying any lantern, you will get ‘The Holy’ title.
Albino Fish
Stocked up on Albino fish? Head to Roslit Bay and speak to the Ashe NPC. She will buy your Albino fish for 1.2x more than their usual price. If you sell at least one Albino fish, you will receive ‘The Vendor’ title.
