Each Rod has its unique uses, and the ‘best’ is always a subjective term. That said, based on some stats and majority preference, I’m able to tell you what I think the best rod in the game is with a few runner-ups!

Best Rod In Fisch – The Rod of The Depths
Added alongside The Depths update, the best rod in Fisch undoubtedly goes to The Rod of The Depths. Unlike other late-game rods, this overpowered fishing rod has no real hindrances and stunts a unique and powerful ability.
When cast, a ghostly figure of the player’s avatar hovers behind them and every three catches, the ghost also pulls up a fish. (Making 4 fish for every 3 catches). This doesn’t seem like much, but players learned that when paired with the Wormhole Enchant, this rod becomes capable of fishing Spectral Serpents and Sharks outside of their event hunts!

Runner Up – Kings Rod
And for my runner-up, the Kings Rod! Obtaining this rod requires a visit to the Keepers Alter and 120,000C$. Not only is the control bar on this rod massive making capture smoother, but it applies a +10% size increase to all caught fish and has an infinite amount of KG capacity. This means there’s no upper limit to the size of fish you’re able to find!
Despite being such an insane late-game rod, the lure speed takes a tanking, making time between fish encounters longer, and the line is shorter. I got lucky enchanting my King’s Rod and got the Long Enchant which increased the line by enough studs so that its shortness isn’t a hindrance anymore hence the runner-up ranking.
