Players who returned to the Diablo 4 achievements for this year’s Vessel of Hatred expansion will find some additional bonuses waiting for them when the Xbox RPG’s next season kicks off in January. If you missed it last week, Blizzard has revealed some juicy Diablo 4 Season 7 details, including some bonuses for owners of the Vessel of Hatred expansion.Diablo 4’s future seasons will include bonuses for Vessel of Hatred ownersWhile still unnamed, Blizzard has revealed that Season 7 will bring a witchy theme to Diablo 4 in January, and for the first time ever, the seasonal content will be available on the PC public test server ahead of its launch. Season 7 is all about Witchcraft, focusing on the Tree of Whispers and the new Headrotten enemies that you’re required to kill for a new currency called Restless Rot.The season will add a Witchcraft menu to our inventory, which is upgraded via Restless Rot and filled with new witchy abilities. There will be 20 abilities to learn, some of which are unlocked by completing Whispers via a new reputation system called Coven’s Favor, and include fun skills like summoning exploding frog friends, piranha tornados, and explosive Doom Orbs. You’ll also get fresh seasonal items like Occult Gems for jewelry, and Helltide-esque sub-zone areas called Headhunts filled with Headrotten to slaughter. As for new features, an Armory system will make it easier to manage your builds. Each Armory slot will be bound to that character, and let you name, save, and load your favorite builds. Fresh Legendaries aimed at supporting Ultimates and two more Legendary Aspects will also be added, alongside new Rank 5 bonuses for every Ultimate ability. Additionally, the Runeword system, which added notable Runes to Sanctuary with the Vessel of Hatred expansion, won’t be rolling out to non-DLC owners. Instead, Blizzard will be adding a few more Runes for Vessel of Hatred players and plans to keep adding bonuses for DLC owners in future seasons. This Diablo 4 season has the perfect endUnsurprisingly, Season 7 will include nerfs for the overpowered Spiritborn class, which was introduced with the Vessel of Hatred expansion in October — the Rod of Kepeleke is one Unique getting the nerf hammer. I recently wrote about my love for Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred and the Season of Hatred Rising, which drew me back to the game in a way I’ve not felt before. The Spiritborn class was somewhat responsible for that, thanks to a plethora of explosive builds that just made it stupid fun.I knew it was overpowered, you knew it was overpowered, and Blizzard was well aware that it was overpowered, but the developer kept its word and hasn’t nerfed the class this season. Alas, all good things must come to an end, and as Blizzard had said previously, a bulk of nerfs will hit the class in January. Blizzard says it will fix multiple bugs that were causing the class to deal more damage than intended, although a new Razor Wings aspect will be added with Season 7, increasing Eagle skill damage, so I don’t know how much of a nerf the Spiritborn will receive after all.
