Delta Force is the perfect blend of tactics and spectacle. Team Jade’s free-to-play online shooter has a bit of Battlefield’s bombastic action, Escape From Tarkov’s pacing, and the game modes to match. This already went down a treat with players at the last Steam Next Fest, and now Team Jade has started one final technical test ahead of launch. If you were worried you’d missed your chance to try the game one last time before the open beta, don’t be, because not only can more people get into the playtest now, but it even has a brand-new map.
With the Delta Force release date mere days away and the last technical test before then underway, this is the FPS game’s moment of truth. With game modes reminiscent of Battlefield and Escape From Tarkov propped up by a free-to-play model, other demos have already proved to be an immense success. But a successful demo isn’t all it takes to make a good game, and now Delta Force can prove it has what it takes.
If you’re yet to play Delta Force, or can’t wait for the open beta launch to get back into it, I’ve got great news. Developer Team Jade is opening up the current technical test to more players, meaning between Tuesday November 26 and Friday November 29, all you need to do is download the launcher. There is a bit of luck involved, however, as daily spaces to play will be issues on a first-come, first-served basis.
You’ll also want to keep in mind that the technical test servers are deployed in North America and Australia, meaning players in these two countries will be prioritized right now. The technical test is open to players in Canada and New Zealand as well, but anyone there will be bumped down the line.
This last technical test ahead of launch isn’t just more of the same, however, as you’ll get the chance to try out the new Brakkesh Operations map. This map features unique challenges, loot, and a new boss ahead of the full Delta Force launch, so you’ll need to infiltrate and scale the Tower of Babel if you want to succeed.
