Players on Xbox Series X|S and PC are now venturing into The Zone for the Stalker 2 achievements, encountering monstrous mutants alongside a host of pesky bugs. GSC Game World is already working to roll out the first post-launch hotfixes for the Xbox open-world game, confirming its Stalker 2 update plan ahead of a content roadmap in December. Stalker 2 devs plan to roll out first hotfixes soonWe noted in our Stalker 2 reviewthat while it’s a fantastic experience, the survival shooter also launched with a plethora of bugs. Our time exploring The Zone was met with crashes, screen tearing, NPCs with dislodged noggins, and more, but it didn’t stop us from falling in love with the world nonetheless. Updates rolled out even ahead of launch to tackle some of the issues reviewers had run into, but the world is still far from perfect. GSC Game World has now acknowledged the bugs players have been facing, confirming that hotfixes are on the way. “Stalker 2 is a massive game. We understand that in such a game, there may still be rough edges: we literally haven’t released anything of this scale before,” GSC said in a statement shared on X. “We’re absolutely committed to being here, monitoring your feedback, and quickly fixing any issues that need our attention. In the first days after release, we’ll be working with hotfixes, rolling them out as precisely as possible, but as frequently as we can.”Larger updates containing “constant improvements” will begin rolling out once the team has tackled the hotfixes, as well as “free in-game content,” which we’ll get a glimpse of via a roadmap next month. “We have big plans for the Stalker universe,” GSC says. “In a way, today is both a return and the beginning of a grand new journey.”Have you hopped into Stalker 2 now that it has left our list of upcoming Game Pass games?
