One of November 2024‘s new PS Plus Premium classics is available for free to players who purchased it on the PS3, PSP or PS Vita. Sony hasn’t been advertising cross-buy titles beyond an initial announcement in 2022, so we’re here to let our readers know that they don’t need to be PS Plus members to snag Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain for free.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain was available to purchase via PSN in the past, and could be played on any of the above mentioned older systems. Those who purchased the previous version can download the PS4/PS5 versions for free without a subscription. Unlike Premium members, prior owners will have permanent access to the game.
Unfortunately, this offer doesn’t extent to all re-releases, so players have to manually check whether they’re eligible for a free download or not. Sony has said that only “select games from the original PlayStation and PSP generation” won’t require a separate purchase.
