League of Legends personality and popular streamer Marc Robert ‘Caedrel’ Lamont has announced that he has put together a League of Legends team for 2025 named Los Ratones.
Los Ratones will be looking to compete professionally in one of the European Regional Leagues, but it has yet to be announced what specific league that will be.
The team is a compilation of well-known veteran talent including Tim ‘Nemesis’ Lipovšek, popular creators such as Simon ‘Thebausffs’ Hofverberg and a previous world champion Carl Martin Erik ‘Rekkles’ Larsson. As well as putting together the team, Caedrel will also be coaching the roster.
Alongside the announcement of the roster, Lamont released a YouTube video explaining the avenues he considered persuing before landing on Los Ratones. This included creating a streamer league where different creators would come on board to create their own teams, but this was “too hard to pull off” according to the streamer.
The video also addressed his ambitions for this team. which is to create a team that was not only competitive, but also entertaining from a viewer’s perspective. For this reason he decided against creating a roster of five former players to win the league or bringing together five content creators who may not win a game.
Part of the plan for the team is to make most of the practises and ‘scrimms’ that the team take part in publicly streamed. This includes reviews of matches and feedback sessions. However, due to a multitude of reasons, including other teams potentially not being comfortable with the scrimms being streamed, not everything will be public facing.
This is not the first time that the streamer has launched something within the League of Legends esports space. In June of this year, alongside Eefje ‘Sjokz’ Depoortere, Caedrel announced The League Awards.
