What Are Nukes?
Nukes are a new feature introduced with the Forsaken Shores update. These are new objects that you can find while fishing. You might also see evidence of them when you receive a notification that a Nuke went off in the server. This might sound a little alarming, but it’s actually pretty good news for you!
Fishing in an area where a Nuke recently exploded gives you a chance of reeling in fish with the Nuclear mutation. These fish sell for much more than their non-glowing counterparts, so there’s a good chance to earn a lot of money through fishing after a detonation.
How To Catch A Nuke
Nukes are a rare catch from fishing in any part of the map, and sometimes a reward from Treasure Chests. The tricky bit is that catching a Nuke will launch you into a minigame that will determine one of two outcomes:
- If you beat the minigame, the Nuke will become an item in your inventory and you can launch it wherever you want .
- If you lose the minigame the Nuke will launch immediately where you found it.
To win at the minigame you need to try and push the dial needle into the green area and keep it there for as long as possible. Don’t let it stray into the red, because that’s the kind of thing that can trigger an unwanted nuclear incident.
