After collecting the Hogwarts Legacy achievements, many of us have hoped for a sequel, and while Warner Bros has yet to officially announce Hogwarts Legacy 2, the company recently said the game is “one of its biggest priorities.” Now, Warner Bros has revealed that Hogwarts Legacy 2 will share story elements with the upcoming Harry Potter HBO show.Hogwarts Legacy 2 will tie in with the Harry Potter HBO showIn a recent interview with Variety, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment president David Haddad confirmed that the company has “known for some time that fans are looking for more things in this world, and so we’re spending a lot of time thinking about that.” In September, HBO put out a casting call for the next Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley to star in the upcoming TV show, which is said to “serve as a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books.” It also appears that Hogwarts Legacy 2 will tie in with the show somehow as Variety reports that, according to Haddad, some of Hogwarts Legacy 2’s “big-picture storytelling elements” will tie in with the Harry Potter show’s storylines.Although J.K. Rowling is involved with the Harry Potter show, Warner Bros says that she is kept updated about Hogwarts Legacy via her agent. “If we’re going to ever go beyond a canon conversation, we make sure that we’re all comfortable with what we’re doing,” Warner Bros. Discovery head of global consumer products Robert Oberschelp said.Hogwarts Legacy — which we called “a spellbinding world to explore” in our Hogwarts Legacy review — was a hit for Warner Bros last year, and the company reports that as of last month, over 30 million units have been sold.In other Hogwarts Legacy news, a Definitive Edition is reportedly on the way, which is said to include “10-15 hours of additional content.”
