What is the best Black Ops 6 DM-10 loadout? It’s easy to focus on assault rifles and SMGs when you’re trying to level up in Black Ops 6 as these weapons are easy to use, but you could be missing out on a different gun that suits you better.

The semi-auto DM-10 marksman rifle in Black Ops 6 certainly won’t be for every type of player due to its heavy weight and slow fire rate. That said, if you enjoy blasting enemies away from range in only a couple of clicks, you won’t find many Black Ops 6 weapons better than the DM-10. The DM-10 could eventually find a place on our best Black Ops 6 loadouts list – it’s really that good when you get to grips with it.

Best Black Ops 6 DM-10 loadout: the DM-10

Best Black Ops 6 DM-10 loadout

  • Optic: Volzhskiy Reflex
  • Muzzle: Ported Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
  • Fire Mods: Rapid Fire

Though the DM-10 dominates at medium to long range, we’ve gone for the Volzhskiy Reflex optic which provides the weapon with a close-range view – the Kepler Microflex is a solid alternative if you want to reign in the scope size. This works well on the 6v6 Black Ops 6 maps as you always have a clear sight down long corridors and pathways. Speaking of long-range combat, the Long Barrel is the best option for the DM-10 as it significantly enhances the marksman rifle’s damage range.

To take advantage of the DM-10’s damage output, we need to snap to our next target instantly, which is why we’ve gone for the Quickdraw Grip, speeding up the gun’s aim down sight speed. The secret sauce of the build is the Ported Compensator, which dramatically improves the weapon’s vertical recoil control and first-shot recoil – a must-use when going for a clean double-tap. And lastly, like with every other loadout thus far, the Rapid Fire attachment ramps up the gun’s time-to-kill speed, turning the DM-10 into a monster.

Best Black Ops 6 DM-10 class build gear perks equipment: a full breakdown of gear

Best Black Ops 6 DM-10 class build, gear, perks, and equipment

We’ve kitted out the DM-10 with a suite of perks and equipment to help keep enemies at bay as you pick them off from afar. Of course, we’ve thrown in a contingency SMG just in case you somehow get jumped – check out the best Black Ops 6 C9 loadout for more on how to set it up properly.

  • Secondary weapon: C9
  • Melee: Knife
  • Tactical: Prox Alarm
  • Lethal: Blast Trap
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System
  • Perk 1: Ghost
  • Perk 2: Forward Intel
  • Perk 3: Cold-blooded
  • Specialty: Recon
  • Wildcard: Overkill

For the Tactical and Lethal slots, we’ve opted for set-and-forget options like the Prox Alarm and Blast Trap, helping you set up a position without fear of being flanked. As you should only face threats from other long-range builds and rogue projectiles, slap down a Trophy System for a bonus layer of protection.

Perk-wise we’ve dashed for the Recon Specialty – not necessarily because it’s a must-have, but because the trio of GhostForward Intel, and Cold-blooded are what we’d argue to be the best Perks available for this sort of playstyle. If you’re not vibing with it, then we’d recommend switching out Forward Intel for Fast Hands, dropping Recon in the process.

How to unlock the DM-10 in Black Ops 6

The DM-10 is unlocked by reaching player level 43. If you fall in love with the weapon then you can keep it permanently unlocked by using one of the Prestige tokens – more on that in our Black Ops 6 Prestige guide.

Best Black Ops 6 DM-10 alternatives: the AEK-973

Best Black Ops 6 DM-10 alternatives

If you’re after something a little more exciting than the DM-10, then you can’t go wrong with the AEK-973. Not only is it based on the classic AK shape, but it’s also a three-round burst marksman rifle with excellent stability. You won’t quite get the same range out of it as the DM-10, but it hits like a truck at medium range.

And now you’re ready to go with the best Black Ops 6 DM-10 loadout. You should have no problems tearing enemies to bits with this loadout, but if you want to try something that goes completely against the Omnimovement system, we have the LR 7.62 loadout to try out. You technically don’t have to pitch a tent and stay in the same spot with a sniper rifle, but if we’re being honest, it’s difficult to play any other way.
