The Fisch Crab Cages are an item no one really talks about, despite them being very useful. I’m here to tell you everything you need to know about these nifty cages, including where to purchase them, and what they do.

Fisch Crab Cages Guide
Crab Cages cost 45C$, making them one of the cheapest items to purchase! Let’s go what you need to know.
Where To Purchase
You can purchase Crab Cages in Moosewood. Head to the Merchant NPC, and you will see a bunch of the cages stacked up together on the right-hand side. All you have to do is interact with it to buy it. After you have purchased it, it will be added to your inventory. There are several other spots with Crab Cages around, too.
How To Use
When you have one, simply select it from your inventory and drop it into the water to catch unique fish that you can only get from these cages! Make sure you position yourself where you want it to drop. You can tell where it will land, as a light green marker will appear in the water.
The water can be near any island, and can include the ocean too! It takes between 2-5 minutes for the cage to catch something. But luckily, you’ll get a notification when something appears! Press and hold E to claim what is inside, but be careful, as any other player can take what’s inside too! (Trust me, I know from experience).
The cages are a one-time use. This means that after you have used one, it’ll disappear, and you’ll need to purchase another.
What Can You Get From A Crab Cage?
As I mentioned previously, you can use Crab Cages to catch unique fish. Unfortunately, that’s not the only thing you can get. More often than not, you’ll actually fish up trash when using these items. Which is pretty pointless, and the only thing you can really do with trash is sell it (though it won’t sell for much).
