We’ve seen numerous Xbox server closures this year, and it looks like 2025 will bring plenty more. Next year, Xbox servers for Realm Royale Reforged, Divine Knockout, and EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will close in early 2025, discontinuing numerous achievements. Realm Royale Reforged, Divine Knockout, and Rory McIlroy PGA Tour server closures set for 2025First, we have EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour — EA has announced that the golf sim’s servers will shut down on January 16, 2025. Just two EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour achievements will be discontinued once the server closure strikes, though it should be noted that the list does already feature two discontinued achievements, so unless you already have those, the completion here will be out of reach. Earlier in October, publisher Hi-Rez Studios announced it was restructuring and laying off some employees to “ensure Hi-Rez’s long-term success with a specific focus on positioning Smite 2 for a long and sustainable future.” As part of that restructure, Realm Royale Reforged and Divine Knockout appear to have been impacted as servers for both free-to-play games will be sunset on February 17, 2025, leaving them unplayable. For the Realm Royale Reforged achievements, all 20 will be discontinued with the server closure in February. If you are thinking of going for the completion in the online-only battle royale game, estimates suggest it will take you around 15 hours to earn its 1,000G — check out the Realm Royale Reforged walkthrough for more information on the completion.Much like Realm Royale Reforged, Divine Knockout is an online-only game, so all 19 of the Divine Knockout achievements will be discontinued following the server closure. The completion here will take around eight hours, according to estimates. In other server shutdown news, servers for a whopping five Xbox games will close next month, so make sure you grab any achievements from those games before it’s too late.
