Garena‘s Free Fire has reportedly penned a deal to bring viral Thai baby pygmy hippo Moo Deng to the battle royale game next month.

According to Malay Mail, the move from Free Fire is a partnership with the Zoological Park Organisation of Thailand.

This partnership will see the three-month-old hippo become an exclusive in-game collectable that players can get starting this November.

Moo Deng’s rise to fame

The park also held a public logo design contest for Moo Deng, with the winning design by Piyapatsara Kaewteentan set to be trademarked for commercial use.

Hailing from the Khao Kheow Open Zoo, young Moo Deng became an internet sensation after her photos were shared on Facebook, attracting attention from celebrities, news outlets, and brands across Southeast Asia.

Free Fire recently celebrated its seventh anniversary and has surpassed more than $4 billion in lifetime revenue

The original Free Fire accounts for $3.4 billion of that sum, while its newer HD counterpart, Free Fire Max, has generated $615.7 million, according to AppMagic data.
