Ready the sails and weigh anchor; new Sea of Thieves achievements are on the horizon. We can now exclusively reveal the Sea of Thieves Season 14 Xbox achievements, which challenge players to engage in all sorts of mischievous and stealthy shenanigans in the open-world Xbox game.Season 14 launches on October 17, bringing with it a bunch of stealthy features that will forever change how Sea of Thieves is played. Rare is finally adding the ability to crouch in the game, which reduces the noise your pirate makes while creeping around, makes you less visible to enemies, and hides your nameplate from other players. You will also be able to hang off the side of ships to avoid detection, disguise yourself as a barrel or a chest to trick other players, set traps, and use the new Merfruit to hide the plume of smoke let off by the Mermaids when lost at sea — this smoke is a dead giveaway when trying to sneak aboard another crew’s ship, so the Merfruit will prove invaluable for those wishing to remain undetected. You’ll also have two new weapons to master with Season 14. The Blowpipe, with its deadly Poison Darts, explosive Black Powder Darts, and the alluring Lure Darts, can be used to wreak all sorts of havoc on other players and enemies. As for the Grapple Gun, you will be able to reel in treasure to your ship from an island or the sea and use it to board other ships or traverse an island quickly. Sea of Thieves Season 14 brings eight new Xbox achievements worth a total of 100 Gamerscore to unlock, all of which are related to new gameplay additions. Some achievements are pretty straightforward — killing a snake with Poison Darts for Revenge at Last and using a Lure Dart on a skeleton holding an explosive barrel for Enticing Explosion will be easy to unlock. The cheeky Pressgang Grappler achievement, which asks you to yoink an enemy player from their ship over to yours using the Grapple Gun, will likely prove tricky, and so too will Red Alert Raider, which requires an enemy to trigger a trap set on your ship that’s loaded with a red flare.
